Own a Piece of Art History

Jan Luiken is regarded in art history as a significant Dutch engraver and poet known for his detailed emblem books, especially Het Menslyke Bedryf (The Mirror of Trades), published in 1694, a “rare book” that illustrated various trades during the Dutch Golden Age.

Holland Fine Arts has acquired the rare images from the 1694 publication of “Het Menslyke Bedryf” (“The Mirror of Trades”). Each edition will be hand-colored by a renowned Dutch colorist using traditional coloring techniques from the Dutch Golden Age. As a result, each edition is both rare and unique.
